I hope that your week has begun well. Sorry for the delay in publishing my weekly ARPA update. I’m currently in New Orleans attending and speaking at the IFEBP’s 72nd annual conference. I’ve completed my two presentation sessions and can now focus on this post, not that there is a lot to discuss.
Regarding ARPA, there were no initial or revised applications received by the PBGC last week. There are currently 48 applications under review, including seven whose 120-day application deadline comes due between now and November 30th.
Pleased to report that PMPS-ILA Pension Plan and Trust has had its revised application approved. They will receive $885k for the 90 plan participants.
Last week’s activity was muted besides the one approved application, as there were no applications denied or withdrawn and no pension plans seeking to be added to the waitlist.

The PBGC’s activity level is about to get much more intense as there are 23 applications that have 120-day review windows closing in December. That holiday party won’t come soon enough for them!
